The reverse design features a beautiful new rendition of the seated figure of Britannia created by Christopher Le Brun RA and modelled by John Bergdahl. On the obverse is the familiar portrait of Her Majesty The Queen, designed by Ian Rank-Broadley FRBS.
The 2007 UK Britannia 1oz Gold Coin was struck by the British Royal Mint in the year 2007 and belongs to the Britannia series of gold bullion coins. Each 22 carat fine gold coin contains 1 troy ounce (31.1035 grams) of gold and is legal tender with a face value of £100.
